THE 52nd
ANNUAL CONVENTION
of the
DEMOCRATIC WOMEN'S CLUB OF FLORIDA
will be
held Thursday, September 4, to Sunday, September 7, 2008
Hotel reservations must be made by August 5th by calling 1-800-441-2113.
Be sure to
request the DWCF special rates:
Two Queen Bed Room (with kitchenette) = $99.00 plus tax, per night
Junior Suite = $149.00
One Bedroom, 2 Bath Suite = $189.00
Two Bedroom, 2 Bath Suite = $259.00
Thursday night is the Executive Board meeting and poolside reception.
Friday and Saturday will be the annual business meeting, guest speakers,
silent auction, and workshops. The gala banquet and live auction will be
Saturday night. Sunday morning will be the wrap-up of any unfinished
business.
Dress for the convention is business casual, except for
the Saturday night banquet.
Club Presidents must submit the list of delegates,
alternates, and guests along with their $35.00 per person registration
fees by August 21st.
Only DWC members in good standing may serve as
delegates or alternates,
but any registered Democrat may attend as a
guest.
Our club will
elect delegates and alternates at our August 9 meeting. The Registration
Fee for Delegates will be paid for by our club. Alternates and guests
must pay their own registration fee.
IMPORTANT:
If you intend
to attend the meals (where we'll expect to hear impressive speakers),
you are
responsible for getting your selection and your check for the meals to
Carolyn Helms
before August
21st. Meal tickets will NOT be sold at the Convention.
